Denise McDaniel is an oil painter best known for her plein air and landscape paintings. Her art reflects a lifetime of study and practice that began with a love of children’s book illustrations and is info training and musescholarship. \ \ In 2021 Denise won five plein air awards including first place in the Cumberland County NJ Competition and the award for Best Architecture at Chesterfield NJ. Denise also won first prize at the Willingboro Art Alliance Summer Open. \ \ McDaniel’s most recent solo show “Days of Future Passed a Retrospective” was held at the at the Annex Gallery at the Smithville Historic Mansion in Mount Holly NJ in April of 2021. It was Denise’s third solo show and featured 94 of her works including still life and portraiture. \ \ Denise received a BFA from Moore College of Art with a major in fashion illustration. She worked professionally as a technical illustrator and graphic designer in government electronics. Denise is a member of the Princeton University Art Museum Docent Association where she enjoys studying and presenting the works of great masters ancient cultures and world class contemporary artists.
