Barbara Greco is a classically trained artist living in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. She also spends time in the vast mountain ranges of the United States. Working in the genres of both landscape and portraiture Barbara’s paintings and drawings capture the atmosphere and essence of both the landscape and the individual at a given time. Barbara works primarily in oil paint as well as gouache charcoal and graphite.\ \ Barbara’s journey in art began at an early age spending time sketching and engaging in art books at the local library. As much as she loved art her life took a different path. She went into the medical profession and after a successful career as a nurse she changed her professional focus to art combining both the science and art that allows her a unique perspective and an adeptness at close observation intuition and creativity.\ \ Barbara received a Certificate at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and studied under the tutelage of Robert Liberace Michelle Dunaway and Scott Christensen.\ \ Her work has been exhibited in diverse regional and local juried group exhibitions and at the prestigious Salmagundi Club in New York City where she was the most recent recipient of the Leila Gardin Sawyer Memorial Award. She was also juried into the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society Associate Online Exhibition. Barbara is a member of the Portrait Society of American Oil Painters of America American Artist Professional League and National Oil & Acrylic Painters` Society.\
